Singer songwriter Bonni Evensen makes a shiny melancholic sound here; with the production and instrumental assistance of Steven Roback (Rain Parade) and Tim Mooney (American Music Club) she makes some credible dark dream pop. If you've been pining since Mazzy Star ran out of steam, this might have the palliative effect you long for. Also bears a strong kinship to Missy Roback's Just Like Breathing from 2002, which was also produced by Steven.
